Privacy Policy

Account information. Your email address and the password you set, handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.

Workspace settings. Your username, your timezone, and the preferences you choose in Settings.

Your writing. The samples you add so PostDNA can learn your style, whether typed, pasted, or uploaded as a text file. This is the heart of the product, and it is yours.

Posts. Drafts PostDNA generates for you, the edits you make, and whether you approved or rejected them.

Connected services. If you choose to connect an X account, we store the authorization needed to act on your behalf and basic account details such as the handle. Connecting is optional and you can disconnect at any time.

Ordinary technical information needed to run and protect the service: log records of requests, errors, and counts of how much you have generated in the current billing period. We use this to keep PostDNA working, to enforce usage limits, and to investigate abuse.

Your writing is used to build a style profile for your workspace and to generate posts for you. It is not used to write for anybody else.

Generating text requires sending your prompt and material from your style profile to an AI provider, which processes it and returns a draft. That is how the drafting works, and it cannot be done without it.

We use third-party providers to operate PostDNA — hosting and application delivery, database and authentication, and an AI provider for generation. They process data on our behalf so that the service can function. We do not sell your information.

You can download a copy of your workspace's data from Settings → Your data. The export contains your writing, your posts, and your settings, with credentials and other secrets removed.

Self-service account deletion is not available yet. Until it is, email support@postdna.net and we will delete your account and its contents.

We keep your information for as long as your account exists and for as long afterwards as we need it to meet legal and operational obligations. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your workspace content.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: credentials for connected services are stored encrypted, access to your workspace is restricted to your account, and secrets are kept out of exports and logs. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.

You decide what writing to add and you can remove samples. You decide whether to connect an external account, and you can disconnect it. You can export your data at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by email.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and its effective date.
